Check out Solo Anti-virus (http://www.download.com/Solo-Antivirus/3000-2239_4-10341139.html?tag=lst-0-1)
It has always worked for me. See if you can detect what type of virus they are.

Any competantly programmed virus can hide in enough places (regardless of the OS) to make it pretty much impossible to get rid of.  I recommend formatting.

I've thought about formatting alot lately, but I have a TON of rare mp3's on my computer aswell as some programs I've lost the CD for and still use. So I'm trying to reduce the shitness of the whole situation.

Have you done a virus scan yet? Does it show up?

Well, I suggest you buy an external hard drive and copy all your MP3s onto that.

Reguardless if the viruses copy onto the drive, as long as they aren't executed they won't harm you.

On the terms of an external hard drive... My dad purchased an external hard drive (120GB USB 2.0) so that he can easily maintain a set of the files on both his work computer and his home computer.

Though I think it was overpriced, he frequently states that it was the best thing he's ever purchased.
