Title: Shut down problem

My computer got messed up somehow long ago, its now kinda fixed...
The thing is that when i go to START>SHUDOWN>SHUTDOWN it restarts the computer, instead of shutting it down =\ i got win98 SE

Also... Why do my threats get deleted after i post them ?

Hold the powerbutton until it goes off?

Threatening people is bad, that could be why they get deleted ::)

Never threatened (spell check) someone, its happen couple of times now.

Anyways, holding that shutdown botton is what i do, but i want it to shut down automatically when i click on shut down, cuz when i cilck there, it does a restart instead of the shutdown, and thats when i have to hold the botton to turn off the comp, and its just annoying having to do it everytime, so i was wondering if you or someone else knew how to fix this problem?

Maybe it chrashes during the shutdown proccess, and causes a restart..

You could always reformat and reinstall if it really bothers you. But I would suggest not using windows 98.

Thats what I would do, and backup important registry files, as in game installs.

Based on the detailed description of the problem that you've given </sarcasim>, I'd guess that your computer has a virus.
