That's a... very strange packet buffering method.
Need to find the "Like" button...

Yes, I'll be relocating. I'm pretty sure all of the actual product development actually happens in Redmond.

For those of you who don't already know from the x86 forums, I'm going to be joining Microsoft on April 2nd!

I'll be working on the Chakra Runtime team - that's Microsoft's JavaScript engine - as a Program Manager.  Pretty excited!

No, I won't actually be working with Skywing, who works in WinSec.  But it's kind of like working with him.  Sort of.

just out of slight curiosity. if i were the guy you're talking about, why would i even consider posting on the forum? i've been a part of {][)K} for years. that's kind of what you would label as a "Captain Obvious Biography". not only was it pointless due to you not using your noggin, but now we are all now dumber for reading it. thanks, though. :-)

oh, and i'll make sure to clear my schedule for your most awesomeness goku clan as soon as Blizzard hops right on that whole telnet bit.

lol, retarded.

I'm curious, do they breed people like you in a lab, or were you the product of an experiment by lay people that might have involved tequila?

Can you show me how to emulate the game?
No.

In order to do so, you would actually need to emulate the game.  The winner is determined based on the state of the game, not by network traffic or replay storage.

How has it been, talking to yourself?

That the algorithm is very weak has been known for some time.

Quote from: SkywingThe Blizzard programmer responsible for implementing this apparently switched the two parameters in every call to ROL. That is, if there was a ``#define ROL(a, b) (...)'' macro, the programmer swapped the two arguments. This drastically reduces the security of Battle.net password hashes, as most of the data being hashed ends up being zero bits. Because of the problem of incompatibility with previously created accounts, this system is still in use today.

If you'd like to set up a retainer, I promise I'll get you answers in a more timely manner. :)

No source code to validate that you're not stealing our username / password?

Allright.... took a quick glance through IDA and I don't see anything immediately mischievous... :)

@iBigmac: You'll be far, far better off not treating the connection data as a string.  I'm sure Ruby has a way to manipulate a byte stream; you'll be far happier using that.  (Most people here would call that a databuffer or packet buffer).

So, WTF?  Is this coming out on Blu-Ray only??  I went to install it and it said, "Not enough space on the selected drive."  I have 10gb of free space on C:\ (I have a 250gb SSD split between Windows and OS X).  Come on!  That's ridiculous!
